The Aninri Council of Traditional Rulers today being the 30th of March, 2022, visited the Executive Chairman of Aninri Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Ajah Benneth Ogbonna.
The meeting which was held at the Conference Hall at the council Secretariat, witnessed extensive deliberations on peace, unity and security of the Local Government Area.
In his opening remark, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Ajah Benneth, thanked the traditional rulers for their coming to see him the umpteenth time. He encouraged them to continue to promote peace, unity and love in their various communities.
The Chairman further highlights the importance of traditional institution. Speaking on this note, he said, "traditional institution is one of the most powerful tools for governance and maintenance of Law and Order"
"I have great respect for tradition because, many government will come and go but the tradition will always be there...", the Chairman concluded.
In their remark also, the traditional rulers unanimously gave their support to the Chairman and also promised to remember him in their prayers.
Igwe Benedict Nnajiofor of Agbo, the Secretary of the Aninri Traditional Rulers Council, whom also doubled as Spokesman of the Council, reiterated the needs for love, peace and unity across the local government. He however, urged everyone to pray for the Chairman as the Council is confident the Chairman would take Aninri to the best standard in governance.
Other Igwes in attendance also include: Igwe Reginald A. Chukwu of Okpanku, Igwe Cyprian U. Ije of Mpu, Igwe Okechukwu Njoku and Igwe David Ohamadike. Others are Igwe Patrick Achiebe, Igwe Alfred I. Eneh, Igwe Cletus ude chukwu, Igwe Edwin Ifesinachi and Igwe Emeka Iyiagu.
